On September 9, 2021, the Innovative Oncology Forum starts as it is timed to coincide with the anniversary of the largest Center of Oncology in Russia.
This event is truly unique for Russia. In 2021, 70 years have passed since the N. N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology was founded.
Established in 1951, the Center of Oncology became the flagship of Soviet oncology, laying the foundations for the treatment of malignant neoplasms that has been applied all over the world until now. The founder and first director of the Center of Oncology, Academician N. N. Blokhin, became head of a team of outstanding doctors and scientists who have developed and implemented an integrated approach to the treatment of cancer patients. The principles, approaches, and the Academic and Practical Schools of the N. N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology continue to be contributors to the recovery of hundreds of thousands of people in Russia and in other countries.
Currently, the N. N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology is one of the leading scientific centers in Europe for the study of the fundamental aspects of the mechanisms of carcinogenesis, as well as for the study and development of effective means and methods for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of human malignant neoplasms.
